THE NAME The word Defcon was first used by the U.S. military. Essentially derived from the two words "defend" and "condition," Defcon was a basic 5-level system utilized by senior U.S. officials to communicate quickly about the military status of the country. At one end of the spectrum, Defcon 5 describes peace, and on the other end, Defcon 1 describes nuclear war. In naming this company, we know there is a war in the race scene. On the track and in the shows, it is winner take all. There are no points for second place. We have come to battle. Spare no prisoners. Forget the women and children.

THE PHILOSOPHY Defcon Racing was founded in January 2001. Today, Defcon Racing is a company that caters to the sport compact car market. Armed with experience and the ability to adopt new concepts and ideas, our intentions are to benefit all that are involved in this great sport. This is done not only by building hardcore cars, but also by manufacturing components at a reasonable price. As customers once, and now owners, we understand the difficulties that both groups must go through. In today's scene there are too many companies out to make a quick buck. Some companies offer inferior products; others charge too much money and offer little in terms of consumer value; and still others do not back their products with proper customer service or offer suitable warranties. Defcon Racing aims to exceed customer demands in all of these areas. The company does not manufacture a part its employees will not use on their own cars, and offers extremely competitive prices on its products and great customer service, as well as a comprehensive warranty guaranteeing great craftsmanship. In addition to manufacturing high-quality parts, Defcon Racing is also heavily involved in the local compact performance scene. We are not a bunch of white-collar executives sitting at our desks all day. You will often see Defcon employees and team members participating at local car shows and race events. You will see us in the staging lanes. You will see us in the pits. You will see us shining our cars in competitions.
